Because June will be the month I celebrated my birthday, I'm thinking of gift swaps between DA fellow artists! You don't have to be born by the month of June to participate, but you have to own a DA account. Super easy, isn't it?

*****WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?*****
You are exchanging "surprise" gifts between DA users via post or any other shipping company. No emails here. The gifts have to be 3 DIMENSIONAL and surprising, that means the receiver would not know what he/she will be receiving.

*****HOW TO PARTICIPATE******

Post your following as a comment/reply on my journal.
1. Name
2. Age /gender/ extra information you would like to share
3. Country of Residence/Born (why, see *Categories of Gifts* below)
4. Categories of Gifts you will be sharing (see *Categories of Gifts* below)
Do Not Mention The Name of Actual Item you'll be sending, it's a surprise!

After a few posts, you can pick your swap-mate (INCLUDING ME!). Reply them, say something nice like "Hi, do you want to be my swap-mate?" and if she/he agrees you can continue exchanging more personal vital information like sending address, postal code, or even phone numers BY NOTES! DON'T PUT YOUR VITAL INFO IN AN OPEN JOURNAL! SECURITY DOES MATTERS!

There are no limited number of swap-mates, but if you feel like you're having too many you can politely turn down swap-mate offers. Don't ever break a promise to your swap-mate. If you are out of items to swap, don't accept them in the first place.

this is why your Country of Residence/Born is so important. You want to know what he/she eats in Japan? Africa's traditional toys? This is to increase your curiosity and knowledge of another side of the your world.
(local food label/packaging/wrapper, local dolls/toys/curiosities, poststamps, postcards, brochures of museum/local art activity, anything represents your country!)

3. DAILY INSPIRATIONS
(other artist's works, how to books, children books you grew up with, food recipes, dried leaves, anything that inspires you as an artist!)

4. PROJECT LEFTOVERS AND TOOLS OF TRADE
( pencil, pen, brush, eraser, manga tones, woods, threads, buttons, fabric trims, anything that is left (half used) on your working table as an artist!)

5. PERSONAL LETTER >>>>>this one is a MUST not a CHOICE<<<<
write/draw/send poetry to your swap-mate with your hand and pen/pencil/brush,etc.

BE CREATIVE!! make your gifts memorable!

1.money and any other valuable things, and don't ask for them either to your swap mate.
2.animals, dead or alive, parts or a whole. please. it's gross. (though feathers are acceptable)
3. expired/melted/grossed out foods. (if you want to send small snacks, it's fine but please consider the hygiene and the expire dates of your food gifts)
